This weekend, Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th June 2012, I had the very great honour of attending the 7 Graces Global Conference, here in London, UK.
And here – with global participation, as we were joined by a wonderful gathering of Livestream participants – a new Movement has been born. The 7 Graces Movement … that’s my name for it, but know that this is not limited by name and is sure to grow and grow over the coming days, weeks and months into something quite magical, quite unique.

As part of the Planning Committee (albeit a sleeping partner, mostly – quite literally), I was also privileged to be closely involved with the Livestream participants, acting as the Chat Facilitator for Friday and today, Sunday. On Saturday, I connected via Livestream from home and I was delighted to experience the exact same feelings I had experienced while physically IN the conference room, while connecting via Livestream.
Oh the wonders of technology : and our guru, Anadi of SoundsOrange, did a spectacular job. Thank you so much, Anadi – you have opened up a whole new world to me, and others!
I saw for myself the magic of collaboration and movement unfolding in such speed this morning that I was breathless with excitement. Lynn Serafinn, the incredibly-inspiring soul behind the 7 Graces Global Conference, host of #7GGC AND author of The 7 Graces of Marketing – the book that birthed the idea of the 7 Graces Global Conference, led a speed-networking session where groups of 3 people had 2 minutes in which to share their skills (NOT related to their current business) and develop a business idea that was a collaboration of all of their skills. One group stepped forward and shared briefly their vision for their new business : out of the blue, while I sat by as Chat Facilitator with the Livestream participants, I saw a whole cluster of people merging towards this group as they had skills from their own ‘new’ business ideas which would serve to amplify and enhance the idea shared by the first group. I counted a total of six people left out of this large ‘cluster’ – sure enough, as the larger group vocalised their own visions, the remaining two groups (six people) also joined in with this larger vision, this collaboration.
It was pure poetry in motion : and THAT, my friends, is how the world changes positively in the blink of an eye. A gathering of individuals with no common purpose except to be in the same room because they were curious about the 7 Graces … and so the 7 Graces Movement was birthed.
So thank you so much to everyone who attended: Lynn Serafinn, for sharing her vision with the world and for perfectly Letting Go; all of the wonderful speakers, volunteers and participants who made the 7 Graces Global Conference such an amazing experience, and the staff at the venue (The Window) for providing such a superb space for us to gather.
Watch this space over the next couple of weeks for details of how you, too, can become an integral part of the Tipping Point and be part of this magnificent movement : and in the meantime, please pop over to the 7 Graces Global Conference page because on Wednesday, all those who signed up for the Livestream (as well as those who attended the Conference live in London) will be able to see the replays. So exciting!
This tired bunny is off to bed to dream the sweetest of dreams now : a world fuelled by the sweet 7 Graces and a beautiful new Movement unveiled …
The 7 Graces are a set of values and principles intended to provide a guideline or model for our business and marketing, and indeed our lives in general. In this paradigm, each Grace is set against its corresponding Deadly Sin
- Connection vs. Disconnection
- Inspiration vs. Persuasion
- Invitation vs. Invasion
- Directness vs. Distraction
- Transparency vs. Deception
- Abundance vs. Scarcity
- Collaboration vs. Competition
