Gather together: connecting for peace, harmony & abundance

77 Silver Jubilee

It is hard to believe that just two short weeks ago we were building up to celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee weekend here in not-so-sunny London; although there were a few miserable faces about (and quite vocal on Radio 5 Live!), the run-up to the Jubilee – and the celebrations themselves – saw people in high spirits.  No matter that it was cold and rainy, those who were able to venture into London for the big celebrations did so with a spring in their step and a joyful outlook, happy to be part of such a wonderful occasion.

Nine days on from the Diamond Jubilee’s Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral and the Queen’s Procession, it feels as if the 4-day celebrations are just a dim and distant memory. The very next morning – after a weekend which celebrated a woman who has put her country at the forefront of her life for the last 60 years – it was back to doom and gloom. Naysayers whinging about the costs of the celebrations and calling for the UK to become a Republic; in-your-face non-stop reporting about the EuroZone crisis and the Leveson Enquiry … no mention about ongoing Royal engagements throughout the UK this year, no mention about HRH The Duke of Edinburgh’s improvements in health, no mention about the London Olympics 2012 … ye gods, give us a break!

Speaking to our neighbours last weekend, we shared how disappointed we felt that we were the only houses in our street to put up flags or bunting to celebrate such a momentous occasion and how dearly we wished we could have all gathered together for  a street party over the weekend.  Our neighbours were of a similar view and we reflected on how effortlessly easy the 1977 Silver Jubilee celebrations were. Oh! from the eyes of children – we were all under the age of 10 back in those days.

Did a street party need to be a hugely extravagant affair? Did it need one person to “direct” or “organise” the whole event? No, we could have all joined together and done it informally – make our own food and drink contributions, along with bringing out our garden tables and anything else we had to hand to make it a truly festive, community occasion.

The 7 Graces Global Conference - London and Live StreamWith this conversation in mind, I feel more and more hopefull that gradually we are moving towards a time where together we will make a HUGE difference to our world; the 7 Graces (from Lynn Serafinn’s excellent book, The 7 Graces of Marketing) share the dynamics of how this really can work if we all come out of our shells and open up to …

Grace #1: Connection

Grace #2: Inspiration

Grace #3: Invitation

Grace #4: Directness

Grace #5: Transparency

Grace #6: Abundance

Grace #7: Collaboration

These 7 Graces are why I am so passionate about the MOVEMENT that The 7 Graces of Marketing (which really are the 7 Graces of LIFE!) heralds.  As such, I am absolutely thrilled to be attending the 7 Graces Global Conference next week because I am SO looking forward to connecting with an abundance of inspiring people who are of a similar mindset to me, who wish to live their lives – both personal and business – with these graces at the forefront.  I hope it goes without saying that I would also love to share invitations to collaborate and that is yet another reason why CreaTEAvity has signed up to – and fully subscribes to – the 7 Graces Mission Statement.

Come join us next weekend and become part of the 7 Graces MOVEMENT for change: even better, sign up by tomorrow, Friday 15th June, and receive a huge 25% discount off the 7 Graces Global Conference in London (see how to claim your very special discount below).
